The Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association, Inc. (PGCA), the Accredited Professional Organization (APO) by the Professional Regulation Commission will hold its 47th Annual Convention in Manila on May 18-20, 2011. The plenary session on the first day shall be held at the Diamond Hotel Philippines, Roxas Boulevard while the concurrent sessions on the second and third days shall be held at the University of Santo Tomas. The theme of the convention is “The Counselor: Walking the Talk in the Different Settings.” Our participants come from Educational, Industrial, Diagnostic, Rehabilitation, Community/ NGO/ Hospitals and Military/Law Enforcement settings. This will serve as the platform towards strengthening our members for leadership roles through advocacy, collaboration and competency building.
Attendance in this conference shall facilitate renewal of membership and help gain points for the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) necessary for the renewal of Guidance Counselor’s license. Accredited organizations are: PGCA, PACERS, CDAP, IPCAP, CHI IOTA, GCP (Guidance Circle of the Philippines)
PGCA certificates beginning October 22-24, 2008 Grand Caprice & Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City up to the recent midyear conventions will be accepted.
For other organizations, only workshops approved for CPE by PRB will be considered.
